The waterways and parks of Beijing will be celebrating the Duanwu Festival 2012 on Saturday, June 23rd with traditional boat races and other events. The annual event has occurred over 2,500 years on the 5th day of the 5th Month on the Chinese lunar calendar and is now an official Chinese holiday.
