The Double Ninth Festival, also called Chongyang Festival in China, is a festival held on the ninth day of the ninth month on the Chinese lunar calendar. It is known as Chong Yang Jie in Chinese because "Chong" means double and "Yang" suggests nine according to the ancient book "YiJing," the Book of Changes.
